Athlete Biography

A national 800m champion when she was in primary school, Charlotte Caslick represented Touch Football Australia at both age-grade and open levels before she made the move to rugby sevens during high school.

The scrum-half from Corinda, just outside of Brisbane, made her international debut in 2013. Her debut year saw the 18-year-old win gold at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and be selected in the 2013 Australian World Cup Team that competed in Russia.

Since then the back has been a regular in the Aussie team and was named in the Rugby World Series Dream Team in 2014 and 2015 – in both years she was also nominated for the World Sevens Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old was one of the side’s most influential players as they won the 2015-16 World Sevens Series. Caslick played in 22 games throughout the six tournament series and scored nine tries.

Caslick is heading to Rio with her partner Lewis Holland who is a member of the men’s rugby sevens team as the sport makes its Olympic debut.
